Introduction

Mediation is an effective way of resolving difficulties or a potential dispute between two or more of your employees. It provides an opportunity for the people concerned to communicate with one another in a private, safe, and secure environment with the help of an independent and trained mediator.

Wellbeing Solutions Management (WSM) can help you to respond quickly, professionally, and with an important independent perspective. Our mediators have significant experience with workplace issues, and they are aware of how their role might fit within a wider grievance process. Mediation is often a quick and effective way of resolving interpersonal differences or complaints involving:

  • Grievance
  • Harassment & Bullying
  • Equal Opportunities
  • Dignity at Work
  • Team Conflicts
  • Our Approach

WSM has a team of carefully selected mediators to provide professional and effective workplace mediation services across the UK. We assist (HR) managers in the constructive and prompt management of grievances, complaints, and absences, including prevention and resolution, mediation, conciliation, and independent investigations.

We carry out mediations anywhere in the UK. Our Mediators will travel to your location and spend usually one day completing a mediation between individual employees and/or managers (at all management levels) as required.

    The Mediation Process

An Account Manager will discuss with your organisation (normally a manager in HR) in full confidence on the phone the details of the case and help you decide the most appropriate way forward.

The most straightforward scenario is a mediation between two people, which is not highly complex – this would entail one day with one mediator, with individual meetings with each party in the morning (lasting around one hour with each person) and a joint mediation meeting in the afternoon.

A more complex situation or a team mediation will take longer i.e. 2 to 3 days and a team mediation for 4 or more people would require two mediators.
