A confidential whistleblowing reporting helpline is a distinct and separate service to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). The objective and procedure for each service is distinct, and requires a separate standalone helpline solution.

How the whistleblowing service works:

Employees can report concerns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year either by free-phone or by email.

The whistleblowing service includes a full communication package, consisting of online and PDF materials to publicise the service to your workforce (printed communication materials can be provided at an additional cost if required).

After verifying that a caller is employed by a Wellbeing Solutions customer, we then ask the caller to summarise their concern and reason for calling.

Callers are reassured that their reporting of an issue will be managed appropriately, and that they can, if they wish, remain anonymous. We will require callers to give us their full name and contact details.

If they remain anonymous, that’s within their rights and an important feature of the service. However, we do explain that if they remain anonymous, we will not be able to give them any feedback from their employer. If they do choose to give their name, we will pass this onto a designated senior contact in your organisation.

Once a call is completed, we send a “Whistleblowing Contact Report” – to the designated contact(s) in your organisation. If the caller elected to give their details, you can follow up with them as you see fit.
